Soon after I retired in 2018, I spent 3 days on the Calf of Man. The weather was beautiful.
As the island is uninhabited (except for a warden) it was very peaceful. The weather was beautiful. As I sat in the heather with a sketchpad, enjoying the quiet, warmth and birdsong (and the occasional seal!), I thought I'd arrived in heaven. This is my latest watercolour (June 2026)😀🙂😀
