Finding beauty in the ordinary
Watercolour paintings by Peter Robinson
Peter writes:
I have dedicated the past 40 years to developing my watercolour skills, with a particular focus on capturing the dynamic interplay of light and shadow on architectural structures. My time spent living on the Isle of Man has been a significant source of inspiration, especially in relation to coastal scenery.
Since moving to Hornsea in the East Riding of Yorkshire in December 2018, I have established a newly created art studio that allows me to fully embrace my passion for painting. Being just a five-minute walk from the sea is a tremendous advantage, as the coastal light offers unparalleled conditions for artistic creation.
My paintings have been exhibited in numerous galleries across the United Kingdom, and in August 2021, I was featured in Leisure Painter magazine, which showcased my ongoing creative journey during the covid pandemic and lockdowns!
Beyond my art, I am passionate about music, reading, and running, all of which enrich my life and contribute to my creative process.
